I attach a copy of this Order in Council. Unfortunately the copies which were sent to the Commander in Chier have apparently gone astray and the Committee has not therefore yet met. We are hoping that it will do so as soon as the further copies which I have sent to-day are Received The constitution of the Committee whichwa we suggested was, Dr. Gordon King, Professor kide, formerly a member of the staff of the University and now a member or the Civil Affairs Administration, Lieutenant Colonel Rowell, previously Assistant Educational Advisor to the Secretary of State and now also a member or the Hong Kong Civil Administration, and Mr. T.M. Hazelrigg, Political Advisor to the Chief Civil Affairs Officer as Chairman.
